Pardon me if I’m wrong, but I’m feeling that you’re having an unpopular opinion regarding this issue, and I respect that, so I’m going to answer as truthfully and coherently as I can.

The answer is; I really don’t know. The point of my elusive answer being that I’ve never watch the shows that other actors in the category are in. Now, if you’re asking for my opinion on his interpretation of Holmes or his acting, that might be a different story.

So, again, I don’t really know. I’m sure Dominic West is incredibly well-deserved in his own show, as well as John Simm and Joseph Gilgun. BAFTA, as well as most other awards, is given in comparison and since I have no reference on other shows, I’ll remain partial to this issue :)
